I've enjoyed building my own desktops, but finally reached a point that I could buy a premade PC (HP Pavilion) that was just cheaper. I did add a video card, but that's it. Now that I have a powerful enough laptop I don't really use the desktop for much more than a data vault for my home network. Portability FTW!

I hate to say it, but I don't use a password manager, but I really should. I just use the same username and two or three passwords for every site. I know this is a really bad idea: if my security is breached at one site, it's effectively breached at all. I'm going to look at what you've posted and change my stewpid ways.

Hey guys! I just listened to all three Tech Difficulty podcasts and really enjoyed them. I'm not sure if you are looking for feedback, but here you go.

My own level of tech probably falls somewhere above the "regular joe", but far below techie's like yourselves. Primarily I pick up my tech knowledge from hanging out with people like you. :)

Even as an advanced normal person (or tech-muggle), I was able to follow most of your conversations. So good job there. The only time I really got lost was when you would talk processor speed and chips. But even that wasn't bad because the conversation and banter was good.

I liked the inclusion of Terry on the third episode. It was nice to hear another perspective.

Bring back the theme song from the first episode! It was funny and all of Ed and Todd's trashing talking mixed into the song was funny!

Y'all talked about netbooks. For the record, I listened to the third episode streaming on my netbook while I sat at the kitchen table and did paperwork. So yeah, netbooks rock.

Finally, someone figure out a twelve-step program for Ed and his Mac addiction. Wow! He's a junkie! :)

Keep up the great work!

When I was teaching computer graphics, at the high school level, I always started each semester with a 1 1/2 week primer on basic computer usages including keyboard shortcuts. (Knowing shortcuts in Graphic programs (photoshop, flash, etc) saves a lot of time.)

After the 1 1/2 weeks worth of lessons I gave a final test but before class I would remove the mice from all the computers. The students had to take the test entirely on the computer and print it out (after first adding a printer) all without a mouse. 8^)

It was great and they learned valuable skills for later.
